What does the future hold? People ask me this all the time and I usually say “I don’t have a crystal ball.” So, in an effort to get the crystal ball everyone is looking for I went to two very cool lectures/seminars.
Joel Burslem from InmanNews was the speaker at the first seminar: Web 2.0 and the future of real estate marketing.
Some of the Highlights:
By 2011 87% of people will be watching video online [See my first effort here] You can also go to The Portland Report for my serious yet fun show.
People like phototours on blogs – Check out a Hawthorne condo I have listed
Joel predicts that blogs and online video will become a much more powerful tool for people buying or selling homes. I will be adding these ideas to the marketing plans for my listings. Another great idea was listing info syndicators – that’s a big word that means I put the info about a listing in one place and it then gets put in a bunch of other places [websites in this case].
Stay tuned for The Future: Part two next week – highlights from a 2008 economic forecast featuring Dr. Bill Conerly
