by | Sep 24, 2012 | How to Guides, Uncategorized

With another Summer officially over we look into Fall for some tips on how to make your home more comfortable and protect your investment with real estate expert Nick Krautter from Keller Williams Real Estate and Sellpdx.com

Q. What’s your number one tip for the Fall season?

A. Start with an energy review to see where you’re losing money and efficiency in your home. This is a free service from Energy Trust of Oregon for most homeowners. It’s amazing what some new seals around doors and windows can do for the efficiency of your home.

Q. What other advice do you have before the rains set in?

A. Make sure your gutters and downspouts are clear of leaves and debris. Many homes that experience moisture problems are a result of overlooking this simple fix.

Q. You certainly can’t do a new paint job in the fall, what improvements do people typically do in the Fall?

A. Many people will upgrade their old furnaces in the Fall and it’s a great time for all the little inside projects you’ve been putting off on the sunny days.
