Q. What do you think the big trend will be for Fall and Winter?
A. I think we will start to see fewer new listings like most years but I predict a robust Fall and Winter. Interest rates and high rents are motivating investors and buyer to make moves this year.
Q. Do you think the inventory will go up?
A. I expect to see a bit more inventory but right now we’re selling almost as many homes per month as are coming to the market. About 1200 new homes were listed last month and 800 homes sold.
Q. What’s the wild card that could change the market?
A. If pricing keeps going up it will allow more people to sell that are now underwater – that could create more inventory but I don’t see it lowering prices.
